BAPTISM

Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spirituals ianua), and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the world." CCC 1213

Baptism will be January/Enero 7 at 2:00 pm (Spanish/español)
Class February 1 at 6:30pm (English/Ingles)
Baptism will be February 5 at 2:00 pm (English/Ingles)
Class March 1 at 6:30 pm (Spanish/español)
Baptism will be March 5 at 2:00 pm (Spanish/español)
Class April 5  at 6:30 pm (English/Ingles)
Baptism will be April 9 at 2:00 pm (English/Ingles)
Class May 3 at 6:30 pm (Spanish/español)

BAPTISM GUIDELINES

Baptism Registration:​
  • Contact parish office for Baptism registration (must be done two weeks prior to class)
  • All documentation and sponsor information must be submitted at the time of registration
  • $25 For registered ACTIVE parishioner or $50 registration donation for NON-Parishioner is due at the time of registration

Baptism Class:​
  • Parents and Godparents are required to attend the Baptism class.

Parents
  1. Present child's original birth certificate from the City/State. HOSPITAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
  2. Required to attend Baptism classes.

Godparents:
  1. Required to attend Baptism classes.
  2. Complete names of godparents must be provided.
  3. Provide the date, name of the Church and City where Sacraments were celebrated. A current copy is required.
  4. All godparents (married or single) must be practicing Catholics.
  5. If godparents are married, they must have received the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony.
  6. If godparents are single, they must be 16 years of age or older and have received the Sacraments of Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation.
  7. Only one godparent is needed but if there are two, one must be male and the other female.
Registro de Bautismo:
  1. Comuníquese con la oficina parroquial para el registro de bautismo (debe hacerse dos semanas antes de la clase)
  2.  Toda la documentación y la información del patrocinador deben enviarse en el momento de la inscripción.
  3. La donación de inscripción de $ 25 para feligreses ACTIVOS registrados o una donación de registro de $50 para NO feligreses se debe en el momento de la inscripción
 
Clase de bautismo: Los padres y padrinos deben asistir a la clase de bautismo. 
 
Padres:
  1. Presente el certificado de nacimiento original del niño de la Ciudad/ Estado. NO SE ACEPTARÁ CERTIFICADO DE NACIMIENTO DEL HOSPITAL.
  2. Requerido para asistir a clases de bautismo. 
Padrinos:
  1. Se requiere que asistan a clases de bautismo.
  2. Se deben proporcionar los nombres completos de los padrinos.
  1. Proporcione la fecha, el nombre de la Iglesia y la Ciudad donde se celebraron los Sacramentos. Se requiere una copia actualizada.
  2. Todos los padrinos (casados o solteros) deben ser católicos practicantes.
  3. Si los padrinos están casados, deben haber recibido el Sacramento del Santo Matrimonio.
  4. Si los padrinos son solteros, deben tener 16 años de edad o más y haber recibido los 7.
